RPGsrok's News

Posted by RPGsrok - December 22nd, 2007

It's official, I'm beginning work on my next project, tentatively titled "Dual Arms: Sides". As I am very early in the planning stages, I don't really have much info to give. It takes place in a folium (world) called Ihrziel, where snow drifts downward from the skies and streams upward from the "Yaethr" beneath the land masses, and centers on a team of Imperial Dual Arms users. It takes place the equivalent of a few weeks before Dual Arms: Precipice, and will not end with so much of a cliffhanger.

I gauge myself at <5% complete now.

(Note: By my scale, percentiles 1-15% are initial planning, 15-20% is voice recording, 20-90% is animation, and 90-100% is final clean up and beta testing)

Here's a conceptual picture I made. I'm not sure how close it'll be to the finished product, but I hope you find it interesting. If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to ask.

Stay Tuned, RPGsrok

Making this quick and simple - I've made lots of progress and the battle scene is nearly done. The stats:

Completion Percentage: 77%
Time: 6 minutes, 50 seconds
Scenes: 3
swf size: 4.5 MB (closer to optimized
Est release date: Late Nov.

Sorry, no pic today. I guarantee: the next announcement, which may be the last before the movie's release, will have a pic.

September was a slow month... but some things got done. Onto the stats:

Completion Percentage: 67%
Time: 5 minutes, 50 seconds
Scenes: 3
swf size: 4.2 MB (closer to optimized)
Est release date: Nov.

In case you hadn't noticed, the release date had slipped several times. Just goes to show you that you shouldn't take it for granted.

This is a picture of a tram suspended on wires over Sivrania, the city Dual Arms Precipice takes place in. I hope it gives a sense of what the city looks like. until next month!

September progress

I've begun animating the battle scene, which is set to last about 2 minutes. I've done 30 seconds, but those 30 seconds are among the most intense I've ever made. School has started so progress will be slow, but after the battle scene, the rest should be simple. See the stats below:

Completion Percentage:57%
Time: 5 minutes, 30 seconds
Scenes: 3
swf Size: 6.4 MB (not optimized yet, will be fixed)
EST release date: Mid. Oct.

There should be another update in a month, feel free to PM me.

Finally, here's a pic of the character Seth. you can't see it, but he's holding his Dual Arms - Huenir. Enjoy!

An actual image from the movie - hope you enjoy it. More later.

Ikaryu looks out over the city of Sivrania. . . Note his dual arms, Ares, set in cases beside him.

Dual Arms Precipice is now (unofficially) halfway done. I'm beginning to animate the battle scene, a challenging process to be sure, but it's coming along well.

The Stats:
Completion Percentage:50%
Time: 5 minutes
Scenes: 3
swf Size: 3.5 MB
EST release date: Early Sept.

A screenshot coming soon!

My next project, Dual Arms Precipice, currently clocks in at about 3 and a half minutes and is about 35% complete. As slow as progress is, the result looks spectacular so far. Over August, I'll be able to put a lot more effort into it and it is expected to progress substancially.

Est. Release Date : Early September
